The way football is consumed continues to transform, and Brazil will be the epicenter of a historic milestone for digital platforms. YouTuber Casimiro Miguel will broadcast live and free of charge all 104 matches of the 2026 FIFA World Cup. This tournament, which will be played in the United States, Mexico, and Canada, will reach millions of devices through his CazéTV channel.

Casimiro is no novice in this type of coverage, but the magnitude of this agreement is unprecedented. Until recently, exclusive World Cup rights belonged solely to major traditional television networks. Now, a content creator managed to negotiate directly with football’s highest authority, according to Metro Ecuador. This partnership positions streaming as a dominant player in the sports industry.

The impact of this news transcended Brazilian borders, although the agreement is territorial. This means that only users within Brazil will be able to access the broadcast freely. Despite this geographic limitation, the business model presents a new global scenario: social media and content creators have enough weight to compete for the world’s biggest sporting events.

How Did CazéTV Secure Broadcasting Rights?

The CazéTV channel was born in November 2022 from a strategic alliance between Casimiro Miguel and LiveMode. The latter is a company specializing in marketing and sports rights that manages competitions and seeks sustainable models for the digital environment. Together they managed to consolidate a proposal that proved attractive even to FIFA itself, which seeks to reach younger audiences.

The negotiation of this agreement took place independently in July 2025. This occurred months before a global deal between YouTube and the international organization was announced, as explained by La Prensa Gráfica. By moving quickly and presenting a proven model from the previous tournament, CazéTV secured complete coverage of the championship.

In this new landscape, CazéTV is, so far, the only channel guaranteed to broadcast 100% of the matches. In contrast, media giant Grupo Globo acquired rights to air only half of the matches. Thus, digital streaming surpasses open television for the first time in offering a World Cup within Brazil.

Casimiro Miguel Vieira da Silva Ferreira, popularly known as Cazé, is a journalist, presenter, and streamer from Rio de Janeiro. He began his career commenting on football debate programs on television. However, his real breakthrough came when he brought his irreverent style to digital platforms like Twitch and YouTube.
